What happens with the details you send me and with how you use this site. Short, because I collect very little.

Who is responsible

Sergio Ballestero, independent software engineer and designer, Luque, Paraguay.

What I collect

What you type in the contact form: your name, email, company (optional), what you need, your message, timeline and budget range (both optional), and the language of the page.

To block spam and abuse, the server also uses your IP address: it keeps it briefly in memory to limit repeated messages (it is never written to disk or a database) and sends it to Cloudflare’s spam check.

When you browse, PostHog receives the pages you visit, the site that sent you, your browser, device and approximate location (from your IP), without keeping the IP itself, and the clicks and scrolling described below.

What I use it for

To read your message and answer you, and to see how people use the site so I can improve it. Nothing else: no newsletter, no marketing lists, and I don’t sell your details.

Who helps me run the site

  • Cloudflare: delivers the site and runs the spam check (Turnstile).
  • Resend: sends your message to my inbox.
  • Google (Gmail): where the message arrives.
  • Hetzner: the server that runs the site.
  • PostHog: analytics and session recordings (United States).
  • Calendly: booking a call, if you choose to (United States).

They process data only to provide those services.

Cookies and tracking

I use PostHog to understand how people use this site: which pages they visit, where they come from, what they click and how far they scroll. It also records sessions (the page and your mouse movement, clicks and scrolling) so I can see where the site is confusing; form fields are hidden in those recordings. PostHog sets its own cookie to recognise a returning browser. There are no ads and no data is sold.

Cloudflare may set strictly necessary security cookies.

How long I keep it

Your message stays in my email for as long as we’re in touch about your project. If you ask, I delete it.

Analytics data is kept for up to one year, and session recordings for up to 30 days.

Your rights

You can ask what I have about you, and ask me to correct or delete it.

Write to me through the contact form and say it’s about privacy. I usually reply within 1–2 business days.

You can block analytics with any tracker or ad blocker.

If this page changes, the date at the top changes too.
