The problem
Fleet owners needed to see every vehicle live and send commands to it, from a browser.
What I did
- Built the tracking server. It talks to the Queclink GPS devices in each vehicle and sends alerts by SMS through the carriers.
- Built the fleet map. Every vehicle live with its route, geofences, stops, speed and fuel and temperature sensors, also as an installable web app.
- Kept it running. Docker and automatic deploys, with watchdogs that restart the device servers.
Result More than 2,000 vehicles reporting every 15 seconds.
