The problem
Supplier invoices arrived by email and were checked by hand against purchase orders. Slow for the team, and suppliers never knew where their payment stood.
What I did
- Designed the portal. One place for suppliers and one for the accounts team.
- Built the invoice bot. It reads each invoice and matches it to its purchase order, and logs every attempt.
- Built the backbone. NestJS with hexagonal layers, Redis, an audit log and supplier onboarding with email checks; the ERP connection switches on when they need it.
Result Invoices are checked against the purchase order on their own, and suppliers see their payment without calling.
